Patios

Your patio or terrace is a living space.  It is an extension of your home or garden which must be comfortable and lovely.  The flatwork must be flat! It must also be imaginative and enchanting.  The seams on my flagstone patios are less than 1/2" wide, and the elevation difference between stones is less than 1/8" if any at all.  These tolerances make for a very tight fit and flat floor, suitable for wheels and little feet.  My patios with their peppering of "beach" stones in the seams are also well known for their aesthetic appeal.

Walkways

Walkways are the transitions in your landscape, leading you from one place to the next.  They take you into or out of the garden, from garage to driveway, or right to your front door.  The walk should be easily navigable as well as beautiful, long lasting and inviting.   Something in the stonework must call to the walker and be memorable, whether a string of "beach stones" or a special curve in the break of the flagstone.  This moment in the stonework becomes a landmark that comforts and reassures each time it is passed.
